Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill, NJ – “The Experience is Everything.”
Camden Catholic High School is located on a 33-acre campus in Cherry Hill, NJ. The school enrolls 1,038 students from 70 communities throughout southern New Jersey. Camden Catholic has a lot to offer, including excellent facilities.
Camden Catholic High School states that the focus of their academic program is directed to the individual needs of each student. They offer a traditional yet flexible program that meets varying needs, incorporating different styles and techniques of instruction. The school offers 12 AP courses, and Honor classes for every subject. As outlined in the school’s brochure, students are challenged to reach beyond what they already know, and to become comfortable with critical thinking. They are proud of their above-average college entrance exam scores. 93% of the graduates go on to higher education.
For the foreign language enthusiast, the school offers Spanish, German, French and Latin. They have school trips to Spain and French-speaking Canada. They currently have 8 international students enrolled, and look forward to having some from South Korea.
The school’s sports program is huge, and they are higher ranked in Southern New Jersey’s athletics. They offer all of the traditional sports, along with Crew (rowing) and Lacrosse. Fine Arts is also big. Theatre is major, with a variety of Performing Arts Courses. Music is featured, with Jazz band, Show Band, Pop Band and Marching Band. The Visual Arts are also well represented.
There is a long list of school clubs from which to choose, and students are encouraged to participate. There is something for everyone at Camden Catholic High School.
